Arts Amble is Creative Bergen's signature event showcasing artists in Bergen County, NJ.

The organization behind Arts Amble is Creative Bergen which is a 501(c)3 arts organization. It is made up of a team of dedicated volunteers who are proud to organize and promote the Arts Amble and other events throughout the year. Through collaboration and partnership with municipalities and businesses, Creative Bergen enrich lives in the community where programming is in support of lively art events. Events create opportunities for not only local artists but the community and local businesses as well. Look for more events by Creative Bergen in the near future!

What is the Arts Amble?

The Arts Amble is a countywide collaborative effort between artists, venues, businesses, and municipalities. In 2021 and 2022, the event was over three days. Artists and performers were provided the opportunity to sell or showcase their talent in their studios or at collective venues. In 2024 we will focus on visual artists and extend the time frame to the month of July!

Who can participate in the Arts Amble in 2024?

Artists and venues! This includes:

visual artists
locations that would like to host visual artists. (Venues are welcome to arrange for performing artists, but these will not be promoted through the Arts Amble 2024 event, only visual artists this year.)

Where does the Arts Amble take place?

Arts Amble locations are to be in Bergen County. Venues can include:

gallery
studio
home studio
home driveway
church
restaurant and/or bar
street corner (if permitted by municipality)
concert hall
municipal space (library, senior center, park, etc.)

Artists may choose to go solo, as a group, or partner with a local businesses or organizations.

Artists and venues need to abide by local laws/ordinances and follow any regulations as dictated by the authorities.

Creative Bergen does not provide insurance for artists and venues.

Is there a fee to participate in the Arts Amble?

Yes. Artists are $25 each, Venues $50. All must register. This year we are waiving the fee for municipal locations that offer artist space for free.

Does Creative Bergen charge visitor fees or help sell artwork?

Creative Bergen will not be involved in any commerce between the public and the artist/venue. If there is a fee for the public to see/experience the art, please advise so we can make note of this on messages to the public.
